You can bring an ice chest with your favorite beverages (Alcoholic / Non-Alcoholic) and snacks. You should also bring your camera, swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, and readiness for a good time! We carry a limited supply of drinks, sunscreen, pool noodles, and a cooler in case you forget something, at no extra charge.
The state of Alabama, requires all children age of 8 or younger wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket or life vest when on any vessel. The life vest should be in good condition and fit the child properly. The exception to this rule is when the child is in an enclosed cabin. You are welcome to bring a jacket of your own or on will be provided.
Yes, you may bring your own cooler (soft sided preferred). Onboard, we have a limited variety of non-alcoholic beverages (free of charge). Passengers are allowed to bring their own alcoholic beverages, we just ask that you consume responsibly and under-age consumption will not be allowed. Meals and snacks can be provided for additional charge, just let us know! Passengers can also bring food along if they wish. Our ship is non-smoking.
SV Atlas most frequently sails in the back bays of Orange Beach. The back bays of Orange Beach allow for the smoothest sail and unobstructed sunset views, while also being able to enjoy the beautiful water and a ton of dolphin activity. Our Morning Beach Run and occasionally our All Day Trips enter the Gulf of Mexico’s near coastal waters.
It is unlikely. The waters in which we operate are generally very smooth, and the catamaran hulls are very stable. If you think you might have a problem, the best thing to do is stop by and pick up some motion sickness medication and follow the recommendations on the box.
No, the boat is not wheelchair accessible, but please call for accommodations that can be made to ensure handicapped individuals and those with limited mobility can also enjoying sailing with SV Atlas.
You may choose to book online through our online booking platform, which you can access on the home page under “Book Now” or you can call us to book your cruise over the phone.
For casual sailing, you can wear anything from shorts, to yoga pants, to hiking pants, to jeans. Whatever makes sense for the day and weather. There will not be much spray on the sailboat. For swimming cruises please wear a swim suit if you plan to swim. Early spring and late fall cruisers are encouraged to pack layers the weather tends to change quickly. Please avoid wearing black soled shoes.

Things to know before your cruise
- Arrive 10 minutes prior to your cruise. SV Atlas is parked in front of the Tiki Bar. If the boat has not arrived back yet from the previous cruise, just wait in front of the SV Atlas sign and we will check you in when we arrive back.
- If you need to cancel anyone in your party we must be notified at least 24 hours in advance otherwise you will be charged.
- In case of inclement weather trips can be postponed up to 30 minutes. The Captain(s) will make the call to cancel trip and at that time customers may receive refunds, raincheck, or reschedule to a different cruise time. NO refunds will be issued until Captains make the call.
- Be sure to bring your sunscreen and if you have spray sunscreen please apply it before you board.
